Here we are, roughly four weeks to go until "lift-off" and finally taking baby steps towards establishing some sort of link for friends and family to what is already and will be going on during our trip 'round the world. I guess Lauren and I will be playing around with this "blog thing" for a little bit to see how it works and especially how it feels to see what you've written posted permanently in a more or less public place.
